Nikki

Welcome to the inaugural photo-post of 2006! I kind of slacked off there for the last part of 2005, but hopefully I will be better about it this year. One photo a week, not counting updates to my Webshots gallery. I think I can do it.

I wanted to kick off the new year right, and to do that I thought I would post my favorite picture of Nikki.

This picture was taken in August of 2004 when we took a long weekend and spent it in a beach house on Crystal Beach (in The Cozy Hideaway, I believe). We took walks on the beach in the evening and I took this picture one of those evenings. With the quality of the light you can see why they refer to twilight as the golden hour, but my favorite thing about this picture is how happy she is. That is why I love this picture.

Of course this was shot with my Vivitar 220SL camera, and although I don’t remember what lens I used, judging by the separation between Nikki and the background, I would guess this was done with one of my 135mm lenses. The film used was FUJICOLOR 800.
