(mis)Spelling with Fergie

Has anyone else noticed that on several of the singles from her debut album Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson is teaching her fans how to spell? So far we have the singles "London Bridge," "Fergalicious," "Glamorous," and "Big Girls Don't Cry," from her album "The Dutchess." Out of these both "Fergalicious" and "Glamorous" substitute spelling lessons for actual lyrics, which is too bad because on the whole her lyrics and rhymes tend to be less obnoxious than most. If you can get past her ego, that is.

  • 1:20 We learn how to spell Fergie
  • 2:09 Wil.i.am teaches us how to spell both Tastey and Delicious, however he throws an 'E' in tasty, therefore teaching us wrong.

  • 0:16 Fergie herself lays the science on our asses, teaching us how to spell Glamorous.
If I was more motivated I would spend some time trying to run down where the spelling in rap/hip-hop originated, however I really just wanted to point this out and take the cheap shot at Fergie and Wil.i.am for misspelling tasty. Its sad what hip-hop has come to. Why can't they be killing people like respectable G's?
